Drake has been urged by American Top Team to stop betting on MMA and boxing events after suffering significant losses in high-profile wagers

CLEVELAND, OHIO: Following a string of highly publicized wagers that seemed to have an uncanny knack for going awry, Drake, the renowned Canadian musician, has received a clear directive to abstain from betting on MMA and boxing events.

Drake has staked substantial sums of money on numerous occasions, with hundreds of thousands of dollars hanging in the balance. Yet, regardless of the odds seemingly favoring him, misfortune consistently rears its head.

Drake was asked to stop betting

American Top Team issued a formal request to Drake, urging him to refrain from influencing the outcomes of matches involving their fighters such as Dustin Poirier and Jorge Masvidal in any mystical manner.

This request was sent on September 10, just a few hours after Sean Strickland defied expectations and emerged victorious, despite being featured on the cover of UFC 5.

“Dear Mr. Drake, Please don’t bet on any of our fighters. Respectfully American Top Team,” the statement read which was posted on X.

As of now, Drake has not responded to or acknowledged the request. It will be intriguing to see whether he chooses to abstain from placing bets on fights in the future.

Drake’s wild bets

Earlier this year, the rapper incurred a $400,000 loss when he placed a bet on Jake Paul to win by knockout against Tommy Fury.

Additionally, just last week, he wagered $500,000 on Israel Adesanya to secure victory over Sean Strickland and maintain his Middleweight championship belt.

To make matters worse, Drake also faced a loss of $250,000 when he bet on Nate Diaz to win against Jake Paul. Popular YouTuber KSI attempted to caution Drake about the potential risks of betting on Jake Paul, but it seems Drake persisted with his wagers.

“Why is Drake tryna lose money? Hate to say it but Nate has no chance. This is his first pro boxing fight…,” KSI tweeted.
