Damson Idris said he repeatedly called upon Satan, pleading, 'Come on, Devil -- come to me!'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Snowfall' actor Damson Idris shocked his fellow actors during The Hollywood Reporter's 2023 TV Drama roundtable. Damson revealed he made a desperate attempt to overcome actor's block by delving into the depths of darkness.

Reflecting on the final season of 'Snowfall', Damson admitted he struggled to bring out the malevolence of his character, Franklin Saint. In a bold move, Damson retreated to a corner and summoned his dark magic, repeatedly calling upon Satan, pleading, "Come on, Devil -- come to me!!!"

Devil worship

While fans praised Damson's character transformation and the compelling downfall in the series, the British actor confessed that the conjuring experience haunted him with nightmares for a month. He even had to seek solace from his mother to regain his sense of self.

According to Damson, these spirits were undeniably real and not to be taken lightly. This aligns with rapper Lil Uzi Vert's recent statements, as he also faced accusations of being a Satanist. Uzi, featured on the cover of 032c magazine, strongly denies sowing malevolence among his fans or subscribing to devil worship.

‘And people love Snowfall’

The critically acclaimed series 'Snowfall', crafted by the late John Singleton, concluded its compelling journey with its sixth and final season in April. Despite its immense popularity, the show did not receive significant recognition in the form of major Hollywood awards. However, in a candid interview with Complex in March, Damson Idris, one of the stars of the show, claimed that the lack of accolades doesn't particularly faze him.

“You know, it’s no elephant in the room that we’ve gone six seasons without being truly acknowledged by the higher-ups when it comes to awards. And it’s a conversation that many people in our community have with regards to Snowfall specifically,” he explained. “What matters is the people and how the people take it. And people love Snowfall.”
