'She has spent her whole life calling the shots and maintaining cultural relevance,' claimed a source

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Despite recovering from a serious infection that landed her in intensive care, Madonna is not planning to relinquish control, even after her death. The iconic singer has reportedly set strict guidelines for record label bosses and music executives regarding her posthumous legacy, particularly concerning the use of holograms.

A source said, “With the exception of Abba Voyage, the use of holograms to bring performers to life has been questionable, to say the least. Whitney Houston’s hologram tour was panned by critics and Madonna refuses to let money-hungry bosses do the same to her. She has spent her whole life calling the shots and maintaining cultural relevance — and there is no chance she’s letting all her hard work be tarnished.”

Madonna's safeguarding her legacy

Madonna is determined to preserve her estate and prevent it from being squandered by feuding family members. To that end, she has decided to distribute the rights to her tracks equally among her six children. Additionally, she plans to express gratitude to her long-term manager, Guy Oseary, by sharing some of the rights with him for his unwavering support through thick and thin.

The gifting of music royalties can provide substantial income to the recipients, as demonstrated by the late George Michael, who discreetly shared the rights to his tracks with close family members. Last month, Madonna caused concern among fans following her health scare at her residence in the US. She was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent treatment for a bacterial infection and remained for several days. Reports indicate that the 'Material Girl' hit-maker is currently "weak and very tired" as she strives to regain her full health under the care of her personal doctor at home.

Celebration World Tour postponed

Prior to her hospitalization, Madonna had been enduring grueling 12-hour rehearsal days in preparation for her Celebration World Tour. Although, it was revealed that less than 24 hours before being hospitalized, Madonna had secretly been in the studio with fellow superstar Katy Perry. On the same day, she was also spotted visiting New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the iconic venue for the renowned Met Gala charity event. The global tour, consisting of 84 dates, was scheduled to commence in Vancouver on July 15. However, all work commitments have been postponed as Madonna focuses on her recovery.
