'I am just so proud of how sensible he is, how ethical he is, how fun he is,' Meg Ryan said referring to her son Jack Quaid

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meg Ryan is proud of her children! The ‘Top Gun’ star, in her recent interview, talked about both her children, Jack Quaid, 31, an established actor, and daughter Daisy True, 18.

Meg, who’s making her directorial comeback with ‘What Happens Later', said "They're just a blast. It is just a true joy. It is a joy to me to know both of them."

Jack Quaid appeared in recent hit film 'Oppenheimer'

When asked about his son Jack who recently featured in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer', the 61-year-old said, "He's just in it for all the right reasons. He's somebody who just loves what he does and obviously, he's somebody who knows that he's privileged and he's also somebody who works so hard."

Ryan added, "He's worked really, really, really hard," referring to his success in the industry. "I am just so proud of how sensible he is, how ethical he is, how fun he is — and I just knew early on he was somebody I would have to share. He's just fantastic.”

She then gave an update on Daisy, saying she “started college this year."

"She really is somebody who has a lot of different interests and she's a great reader and she, at least, has a memory of the phone not being everything," Ryan told People.

She added, "They're so engaged and happy, it's great. If you do it right, they leave."

Sharing her thoughts on motherhood, the star said, "I just feel like, 'Have I been a good host?' She often asks herself, "Are they inspired? Are they happy? Are they safe?"

Meg Ryan will be releasing her flick ‘What Happens Later' on November 3

Ryan’s ‘What Happens Later’ starring David Duchovny will be releasing on Friday, November 3.

“It came to me during lockdown,” she recalled while talking about the flick, adding “The essence of it is these two people who are stuck together. I just love that idea that we're held in a space, even if it feels conflicted, maybe for reasons that heal them.”

“Truly, the easiest part was acting in it. I want to direct again just so I can sit in the chair, because I’m sure there’s a lot of things I missed," she added.

Meg continued, “I hadn’t done a role in a really long time, but it was fun with David.”

“A lot of it was done in two shots. I’m proud of that. I set up everything beforehand so that once we were there, it was just and I trying to tell the truth,” she concluded.
