Soruces said that Amanda Bynes chose this facility herself and preferred being there rather than alone in her LA apartment

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amanda Bynes has decided to return to inpatient care for her mental health treatment. This time, she chose a new mental health treatment center in Orange County, where she checked herself in at the beginning of July. This move came nearly a week after she had completed her outpatient treatment at a mental health facility in the Los Angeles area.

According to sources from TMZ, Bynes sought a more therapeutic living environment rather than being alone in her LA apartment. She believed that she needed more extensive support than what the outpatient treatment had offered.

Amanda Bynes receives 24/7 treatment

Bynes decided to go to the new inpatient center after she was told about it at the previous outpatient center. She was reportedly happy to be surrounded by a medical team, therapists and fellow patients, as it provided her with social interaction and company. The inpatient center is offering her a higher level of care compared to the outpatient center. She is receiving 24/7 residential treatment, participating in daily therapy sessions and engaging in various activities aimed at helping her develop skills to utilize upon leaving the center.

The move to this new facility was entirely Bynes' choice, as she has been actively involved in making decisions concerning her treatment. She had previously contacted the police on June 17, expressing distress and concerns about self-harm. As a result, she was placed in a psychiatric hold and spent time in a facility before transitioning to outpatient care.

According top TMZ, sources said there was no fixed duration for Bynes' stay at the new center and it would depend on when she feels ready to be on her own again. Her parents are aware of her whereabouts and fully supportive of her decisions. They are available for her whenever she needs them during her treatment journey.

What happened to Amanda Bynes?

In March, it was reported that Bynes was spotted walking naked on the streets of LA and was eventually placed in a psychiatric hold. During this incident, she flagged down a car and shared her anguish with the driver, mentioning that she was having a psychiatric episode before calling the police.

It was reported by Page Six that Bynes faced challenges with substance abuse and had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In March 2022, she was released from an eight-year conservatorship, which granted her more autonomy over her life.

Unfortunately, Bynes appeared to lack a strong support system, with limited contact with her siblings and parents, only seeing them "from time to time." This lack of consistent support has raised concerns among her devoted fans, who have been following her career since her Nickelodeon days in the late '90s.
