'Love Island USA' fans accuse producers of 'sabotaging connections' on dating show

PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI: 'Love Island USA' Season 5 Casa Amor put the relationship at stake as 14 new bombshells entered the villa leaving the fans wondering if the living arrangements are the only thing that’s going to be split into two. The viewers also wondered about the compatibility of the connections.

Marco Donatelli and Hannah Wright have been together for the better portion of this Season. However, Marco and Hannah's relationship was jeopardized when Marco's ex-girlfriend, Hannah Ortega, entered the villa. Ortega's arrival just might be that extra fuel to the fire pit that tears the 'happy' couple apart.

However, Marco and Hannah proved that nothing could break down their connection even though they were in different villas.

Are 'Love Island USA' Season 5 producers sabotaging connections?

In the latest episode, 'Love Island USA' Season 5 the original female islanders received a shocking video which may lead to several splits. The islanders were chilling together when Carmen Kocourek shouted, "I got a text" and read the text which said, "Girls you have been sent a story from the villa."

The video featured clips of Keenan Anumay getting close to Najah Fleary at soul ties and sleeping together in a bed. Next up was Marco and Ortega's video. The clip started with Marco's shocked reaction to Ortega as she arrived at the villa.

In the video, Marco noted about Ortega that she is his ex and went straight to hug her. The video cut to Marco and Ortega's date night where he admitted, "I feel as if we didn't give ourselves a fair chance."

However, the video sent by the producers failed to make any difference in Hannah and Marco's relationship. Hannah remained calm even after watching the video. She noted that what Marco is doing is his choice and she would stay loyal to him as they have closed off before arriving at Casa Amor.

'That video did Marco DIRTY'

Marco had made it clear to his ex-Ortega that he had felt the true spark with Hannah and he want to be loyal to her. However, the video that Hannah received was just a bit of the story and the viewers found it manipulative.

The social media user slammed producers to send Marco's half video to Hannah. A Twitter user wrote, "Y’all dead ass wrong for this video message! Got Hannah thinking Marco unfaithful is crazy. This is literally manipulating them."

Another person added, "#Loveislandusa I see what y'all are doing? 👁 How do you protect the guy that smashed a girl and gave Marco a bad edit and make Kay Kay cry over a knave? Kasey and KK better be recoupling and Hannah hopefully doesn't get misled with the damn video.."

Another user noted, "Those producers tried to get Marco and when that wouldn’t work they had to show Hannah that badly edited video and it’s still not working." "That video did Marco DIRTY," penned another social media user.

Another critic tweeted, "Producers so messy for adding in that clip of Marco like Hannah is about to be stressing for nothing." Another viewer said, "Oh the producers are really sabotaging Marco and Hannah for no reason."

Another internet user stated, "The producers can actually go to hell for that Marco clip like I thought this show was about people finding connections and love?? and now y’all purposefully sabotage good couples and for WHAT."

'Love Island USA' Season 5 premiered on Peacock on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. During premiere week, new episodes will be available to stream every day at 9 pm ET. Subsequently, new episodes will be released on Thursdays through Tuesdays on Peacock.
