'GMA' co-hosts discussed children's ability to be brutally honest with their parents and Michael Strahan admitted they get 'worse' with age

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Michael Strahan recently admitted on the morning show that his children's ability to be brutally honest has only worsened with age.

In yet another episode of ‘GMA’ alongside co-hosts Eva Pilgrim and Rebecca Jarvis, the 51-year-old revealed that as his children have grown up, so has their capacity to utter the truth in all situations.

The hosts were responding to ‘GMA3’ star Rhiannon Ally’s interview with Jessica Alba and her best friend Lizzy Mathis who were talking about their new reality show, ‘Honest Renovations’.

At this point, Jessica and Lizzy spoke about their children and after the segment ended, host Rhiannon Ally posed a similar question to her co-hosts in the studio about their children.

What did Michael Strahan say about his children on ‘GMA’?

Jessica Alba and her best friend, Lizzy Mathis talked to 'GMA3' host Ally about working together, the most rewarding parts, and much more about their show 'Honest Renovations.

However, the actresses later admitted that they would ask their children about edits since they are producers of the show. "So, I would say, what are your edits? or What do you like about this part or that part? And they'd give feedback," Jessica said.

Ally stepped in and asked them, “Brutally honest feedback?” Lizzy instantly replied, “They're vocal. Very vocal.”

Lizzy then mocked her children by mimicking their voices and said, “Why do you look like that? What were you thinking?"

When the segment ended, Rhiannon said, "I think we can all relate to that because kids are always brutally honest with their parents. You can watch 'Honest Renovations' now on Roku.”

She then moved her attention to her co-hosts Michael Strahan, Eva Pilgrim, and Rebecca Jarvis in the studio and asked, “What about you guys? Are your kids as brutally honest as mine are?”

"Oh yeah," Jarvis replied. "Sadly, yes. We all get the truth from our kids."

Michael listened to Jarvis and subtly told her and Eva, "The older they get, the worse they get, too.” He then smiled at the camera and added, "You've got a lot to look forward to.”

‘GMA’ host Michael Strahan admitted that he could have been a ‘better father’

The former NFL star once appeared on Brooke Shields' podcast, 'What Now?’ and admitted that he could have been “more present” for his children.

He stated that he could have been a “better father” to his children and wished he was more present during their childhood.

Michael said on the podcast, “I didn't know what my future was gonna be. I knew I'd work hard. I knew that if I had an opportunity, I would do my best at it. But it was still tough.”

He added, “[I was] so young and having kids and having all the responsibilities, I do look back, and I do wish I did a lot of things better as far as being a parent because I felt like there was so many times I should've probably sacrificed certain things in order to be a little bit more present.”
