Dr Zach Okhah's statement on Instagram made no mention of Jacky Oh or the mommy makeover she received

MIAMI, FLORIDA: Jacky Oh's surgeon Dr Zachary 'Zach' Okhah recently broke his silence on Instagram, addressing the public two weeks after her death. Despite his history of filing lawsuits against former patients who claimed surgical mishaps, Dr Zach's statement on Instagram did not mention the 33-year-old or provide any details about the incident.

The message to his over 97K followers began, "To all my past, current and prospective patients, PH-1 Miami remains devoted to the highest quality medical care. All aesthetic procedures are performed in a hygienically safe environment to universally recognized medical standards."

'Our mission is to help our patients'

He continued, "I am relentlessly committed to advancing techniques in the realm of plastic surgery." Okhah's statement concluded, "Most importantly, my staff and I ensure that each patient is vetted, prepped and treated according to their individual patient history prior to any surgery. Our mission is to help our patients achieve the best possible results in the safest and most medically appropriate way possible."

Jacky Oh, a mother of three with comedian DC Young Fly, was discovered dead in a hotel in Miami on May 31. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital, she died before midnight, according to the Miami Police Department. In a social media post, the popular influencer had shared a photo of herself in a hospital gown, smiling alongside Dr Okhah. She expressed her excitement about the upcoming procedure and openly discussed her anticipation for the transformation. "Getting ready for my mommy makeover with Dr. Zach!! Stay tuned to my YouTube for the full reveal," she said.

Dr Okhah has sued patients over botched surgery claims

Dr Okhah has filed lawsuits against several former patients who posted online reviews claiming that he mishandled their procedures, reported Page Six. In one specific case, he sued Leila Penn in July 2021 for over $30,000 after she made allegations in a review on the healthcare marketplace RealSelf, stating that the surgeon had "mutilated" her. In court documents, he denied the claims made by Leila Penn, calling her statements "false" and defamatory. He further alleged that she actively engaged with commenters on the website, encouraging potential patients to seek treatment elsewhere. Eventually, Okhah dismissed the lawsuit against Penn without prejudice in December 2021.

Additionally, in August 2021, the doctor filed another lawsuit for $30,000, this time against Kyla Neirenburg. Neirenburg had posted a Google review stating that "happy patients" of Dr Zack "don't exist." She also suggested in her review that positive reviews on RealSelf were "likely fake" and authored by the surgeon's staff or friends. Dr Zach argued that Neirenburg's review was defamatory. However, like the previous case, this lawsuit was also voluntarily dismissed without prejudice in December 2021.
