LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx’s team reportedly called in a top-ranked neurologist to assess his condition earlier this month as he remained hospitalized weeks after a medical emergency. The 55-year-old ‘Ray’ star was hospitalized on April 11 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was filming Netflix’s action-comedy ‘Back In Action’ with Cameron Diaz.
Now, it is revealed that Foxx’s team is taking his medical condition “very seriously” and is making urgent arrangements for his speedy recovery. “While it’s still unclear why exactly the 55-year-old actor was hospitalized, our insiders say that Jamie’s team is taking the situation very seriously,” a source close to Foxx revealed, as per TheJasmineBrand.com. The outlet further reported, “Sources close to the actor allegedly say that a top-ranked neurologist is flying into Atlanta to assess Jamie and help him along his recovery journey.”

It has been three weeks since Foxx’s hospitalization but there has been practically no information released about his condition except an initial statement from his daughter, Corrinne. She previously stated on Instagram that her father “experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” Following the announcement, Foxx’s official page also released a statement where he thanked his fans for their support. “Appreciate all the love!!!! Feeling blessed,” the post read. However, it is unclear if Foxx himself made the post.
Although Foxx was said to be “doing a lot better” as per his inner circle, there are doubts about whether his condition has really changed. “Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK,” said a source close to the star, Radar Online reported. The tipster also noted that his condition was extremely severe after his hospitalization. “It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived. He is very lucky to be alive!” a source said, adding “He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did.”

The outlet also revealed that the ‘Amazing Spider Man’ star’s medical condition is far worse than what his team claims. “His friends and family are hoping for the best — but preparing for the worst!” one insider stated to RadarOnline. At that time, another source noted Foxx suffers from high blood pressure, which experts claim can cause clots in the brain and lead to a stroke. These claims came after Foxx was recently placed by Nick Cannon as host of the FOX game show ‘Beat Shazam!’ Nick also expressed concern for his friend and said, “Man, I’m praying. I have been saying prayers out loud.”
