In addition to expressing interest in an MMA fight, Jake Paul hinted at a possible rematch with one of his former competitors

AUSTIN, TEXAS: After defeating former UFC fighter Nate Diaz, Jake Paul moved to a score of 7-1 in his boxing career. Following his victory, 'The Problem Child' discussed his future goals in combat sports. In addition to expressing interest in an MMA fight, Paul hinted at a possible rematch with one of his former competitors. Meanwhile, Joe Rogan shared his thoughts on the YouTuber's ambitions during his podcast show 'The Joe Rogan Experience'.

After his Nate Diaz win, Paul has revealed that he wants to have a rematch with Tommy Fury. During a 'Fight Companion' episode, Rogan, Brendan Schaub, Eddie Bravo, and Bryan Callen witnessed Diaz's boxing debut. However, Rogan detailed why Paul wants to fight Fury again.

'Wants to get it back for his ego'

Paul's first opponent, Fury, handed him his first and only loss so far. Despite the defeat, Rogan thought the fight was spectacular. “I thought he [Tommy Fury] won the fight [against Jake Paul]. It was a good fight, a good solid fight,” he remarked. Schaub, on the other hand, has a few opponents lined up for big-money contests. He remarked, “The moneymakers [are] Logan vs Jake and then Jake vs KSI.” Furthermore, he saw no reason for Paul to fight Fury again.

"I'm not sure why he wants to fight Tommy," said Schaub. "Who gives a f**k, bro?" Rogan, on the other hand, expressed why the YouTube celebrity wanted the fight. "I think he just wants it back for his ego, I guess," the 55-year-old added.

'I can get the stoppage next time'

Fury also expressed his desire for a rematch against Paul. During the post-fight press conference, he lauded the YouTuber's strength and stated that if they ever fought again, he would win via stoppage. "100% [on a rematch] ... having been in the ring with Paul once, I'm pretty sure I can get the stoppage next time," he remarked.

Following his first loss, Paul started competing against MMA stars again. He hasn't truly faced off against another boxer in the professional ranks. It will be interesting to see how he does the second time around when facing a real boxer. Additionally, he was unable to take Diaz down. Fury is currently getting ready to take on Paul's rival KSI later this year.
