Kai Cenat addressed misunderstandings related to the jail stream and provided insights about the controversial event

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kai Cenat, a well-known streamer, recently responded to criticisms about his "7 days jail" livestream, aiming to clarify the intentions and context behind this controversial content. In a video that emerged on X (formerly Twitter) on November 19th, Cenat addressed the accusations that his stream glorified jail.

He passionately discussed the misunderstandings related to the stream, providing additional insights to his audience about the controversial event.

Kai Cenat fires back at critics

Cenat began by urging viewers to actually watch the entire stream before forming opinions based on selected clips. He emphasized that the negative reactions stemmed from isolated clips taken out of context, overlooking the broader context of the stream. Cenat stated, "Little n***as was going based off the motherf***g clips and saying what they had to say about it. But were you there when we did a whole where I literally got the kids of the community, the baddest kids of the community to come to the jail? We actually sat down and spoke to them n***as. Oh, you didn't see that, right?"

Kai continued by highlighting instances where he explicitly expressed his discomfort and disapproval of being in jail.

Cenat recounted, "Or a thousand times where I said, yo, this is not cool. I don't want to be here. I don't like being here. This is why you shouldn't want to be here. Oh, you didn't see that, right? Or me waking up at 6 a.m., shivering out my sleep, back hurt, eating whack-ass food, saying this is why you don't want to be here. Oh, you didn't see that, right? Oh, but you've seen all the other clips that went viral. And then you're going to say I glorified it, right?"

Cenat concluded by revealing the toll the experience took on him, both physically and mentally. He described the challenges of his daily routine during the stream, emphasizing that while he may not have outwardly shown it, he was internally struggling. Cenat asserted, "My nigga, if you actually, I was moving from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., my nigga, I was moving like a fucking robot. Me, I probably wasn't showing it, but me mentally, I was going fucking crazy, nigga."
