NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Lil Wayne revealed he is not able to remember his own songs as he is battling memory loss. The rapper said he is not able to recollect which songs were part of which of his own popular albums.

"I don’t know ‘Tha Carter III,’ ‘Tha Carter II,’ ‘Tha Carter One’ from ‘Tha Carter IV,'. And that’s just my God’s honest truth. You could lie, you could ask me [about] such and such song, I wouldn’t even know what we talking about," the rapper admitted, according to Page Six.

'I always look at it as the curse part'

The 'Lollipop' rapper painfully shared that his works are no longer significant to him as he has lost the ability to remember them. Wayne said that his memory loss struggle has worsened as he does not even remember when his albums were released and pointed out 'Tha Carter III' as an example.

"That’s how much I don’t know," he said and added, "I work every day, bro — every single day. And also, I always look at it as the curse part of the gift and the curse."

The 'Sucker for Pain' rapper said that though he has a bad memory, he is blessed with an "amazing mind" that helps him in creating industry hits. "I believe that [God] blessed me with this amazing mind, but would not give [me] an amazing memory to remember this amazing s**t," he said.

Wayne's health struggles

Wayne has been suffering from several health issues, including his years-long epilepsy battle. The rapper canceled a show in 2017 in Las Vegas after he suffered a series of seizures, according to Rolling Stone. At the time, the 'A Milli' rapper was discovered unconscious in a hotel room in Chicago.

After he suffered multiple seizures in 2013, he was shifted to a hospital. Following his hospitalization, people believed that Wayne's use of a recreational drug beverage named sizzurp which is mixed with cough syrup may be the cause behind his ailment.

On Friday, June 9, the rapper told Rolling Stone that he is not settling down any sooner. "The motivation isn’t to show them that I’m still that dude, which I am. The motivation is to show them why I’m still that dude. That’s the motivation because I want [rappers of the new generation] to hopefully get something from that and they continue to still be whoever the dude or woman they are," Wayne explained.
