Drake placed a whopping $850,000 bet on Logan Paul to win his fight against Dillon Danis via knockout

CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul seems unfazed by rapper Drake cashing in a substantial bet on him, despite the notorious 'Drake Curse' wreaking havoc on the sports world lately.

The Canadian rapper often places significant bets on popular sporting events but hasn't had much success with his gambling endeavors.

In his most recent wager, he bet on Nate Diaz in his bout against Jake Paul in August 2023 and wound up on the losing side.

What is the 'Drake Curse'?

The 'Drake Curse' is a superstition or belief in a pattern where celebrities or sports teams that associate with the Canadian rapper and musician Drake often experience bad luck or poor performance shortly after their interaction with him.

This phenomenon gained attention because it seemed that various sports teams and athletes suffered defeats or setbacks after Drake showed support for them or appeared in photos with them.

While it's mostly seen as a humorous and superstitious concept, it has become a well-known meme in the world of sports and entertainment.

The Grammy Award winner has been charged with betting on sportsmen and athletic teams, allegedly jinxing them.

This time around, Drake has placed a whopping $850,000 bet on Logan Paul to win his fight against Dillon Danis via knockout.

Nonetheless, the YouTube sensation displayed a complete lack of concern. He responded to the substantial bet by suggesting that it would likely prove to be a simple and profitable venture for the rapper.

On Friday, October 13, Paul took to his X account and tweeted, “Easy Money.”

All you need to know about Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis

Logan Paul will be the co-headliner in a match against Dillon Danis at the Misfit's Boxing - The Prime Card on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK.

Paul, known as 'The Maverick,' is the favored competitor with odds at -450, while Dillon Danis, also called 'El Jefe,' is the underdog at +330, as per Odds Shark.

Although Paul's boxing record of 0-1 isn't particularly impressive, he did manage to secure a draw in a 2021 exhibition match against the legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On the other hand, Danis has not yet ventured into professional boxing but brings a wealth of combat sports experience, including an 18-16 record in professional grappling and an undefeated MMA record of 2-0.
