It looked like 'The View' was celebrating Mother’s Day on Memorial Day as the show producers chose to run a Mother's Day special episode rerun

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In recent times, ‘The View’ has been through some major ups and down. Whether it is the retirement of their stage manager, the impact of the writers’ strike, or the usual controversies the co-hosts find themselves entangled in, ‘The View’ continues to give their viewers and fans the opportunity to point out the antics, and most recently, it happened on Memorial Day.

‘The View’ went quite off the track when it came to celebrating Memorial Day, with radio silence on their social media for a good couple of days. However, on-air, ‘The View’ chose re-runs for this special holiday. But instead of celebrating Memorial Day, the rerun included a different holiday altogether. Looks like whoever was responsible for this rerun might have picked a random episode, but it looked like the show was celebrating Mother’s Day on Memorial Day.

Jennifer Lopez on Memorial Day

Now that’s a sight no one was expecting to see when it came to ‘The View’ on Memorial Day. The show chose to opt for a rerun instead of a live episode on Memorial Day as the co-hosts took a couple of days off. While the producers had a plethora of episodes to choose from, they picked the episode with Jennifer Lopez talking about her movie ‘The Mother’. This episode was first broadcast on ABC on May 4 and felt slightly irrelevant, considering the Lopez movie was long released on Netflix, and more importantly, it wasn’t Mother’s Day. In addition to the promotion of ‘The Mother’, the episode also had segments surrounding the holiday for all moms. Viewers were puzzled over why all of this was broadcast on Memorial Day.

Memorial Day on social media

Despite this unintentional or intentional hiccup on behalf of ‘The View’, they made sure that their tracks were covered on social media if not on everyone’s television. ‘The View’ took to their social media to wish the country on Memorial Day. On Twitter, ‘The View’ tweeted, “Today and every day, we remember and honor the fallen who have served our country. 🇺🇸 #MemorialDay.”

This might not make up for celebrating the wrong holiday, but in their next episode, they are inviting the former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchison and that might give them room to brush up on Memorial Day, but only time will tell!
