Since April 2022, Danny Bonaduce has been grappling with an unknown ailment which has impacted his ability to walk and maintain balance

After over a year of battling an undisclosed health issue, Danny Bonaduce has finally received a diagnosis. The 63-year-old former child star shared with TMZ that he has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition characterized by an accumulation of fluid in the brain. To address this, Bonaduce is scheduled to undergo brain surgery on May 29, during which doctors will implant a shunt in his head to alleviate the fluid build-up.

Since April 2022, the actor and professional wrestler, known for his role in 'The Partridge Family', has been experiencing difficulties with walking and balance. Despite consulting with numerous doctors, it was only recently that he received an official diagnosis. Since Danny Bonaduce's health update came out, fans have been truly supportive of his recovery.

‘His balance sucks - super sucks’

Amid Danny Bonaduce's health ordeal, his sister Celia Bonaduce has been providing updates to concerned fans about his condition. On May 1st, she expressed her gratitude to those who had reached out, stating, "Many of you have reached out to see what's going on with my brother Danny. Thank you."

Celia mentioned that Danny felt the love from the messages and even enjoyed Dairy Queen-dipped cones. However, she acknowledged that the nature of his illness remained a mystery, saying, "We are not being coy when we say this is a 'mystery illness'. In layman's terms, his balance sucks - super sucks."

'You’re in our thoughts'

Despite the uncertainty, she expressed confidence in the medical professionals in Seattle who were diligently working to unravel the mystery and find a solution. "All the great medical minds of Seattle are at work trying to solve this conundrum."

Fans and well-wishers were quick to send in their support through the comment section. Mark Hamill wrote, "Wishing my Corvette Summer co-star a complete & speedy recovery.” Garry Bryan wrote, “Danny, all the best from a true radio friend. You’re in our thoughts.”

Meanwhile, one Twitter user wrote, “Wishing you nothing but the best for you and a quick resolution to this illness. Our prayers are with you and we look forward to seeing you again doing what you enjoy. It’s been a pleasure growing up with you through your career. Thank you for all you’ve done.” Another penned, “I keep you in mind when I pray the rosary for a speedy recovery!”
