Riley Keough settled the court dispute by paying Priscilla Presley $1 million plus an additional $400k for legal expenses

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Priscilla Presley desperately sought to keep the amount of money she was paid by her granddaughter Riley Keough to settle their dispute over Lisa Marie's legacy a secret, a report claims. Earlier it was reported Keough had reached a $1.4 million settlement to gain control of the estate Lisa Marie Presley left behind after her death in January at the age of 54.

Priscilla went to court to contest a change Lisa Marie had made to her will in 2016 that left out Priscilla and her former business manager Barry Siegel who was also in control of the trust. Riley's younger twin sisters, Harper and Finley, as well as Riley herself, were listed as the trust's beneficiaries by Lisa.

Priscilla, on the other hand, said that the signature on the amendment did not resemble Lisa Marie's. According to reports, Riley was enraged by her grandmother's choice to take the case to court which Priscilla said was not true. RadarOnline reported yesterday, Riley settled the court dispute by paying her grandmother $1 million plus an additional $400k for legal expenses. Riley as per the deal will serve as Lisa Marie's estate's sole trustee.

'We are just a family'

Riley filed a motion to seal portions of the petition claiming “the parties’ interest in maintaining this limited financial information under seal overrides any limited public right of access to this information and supports sealing," the publication reported. She said, “We have learned that the fans realize that we are “just a family.” Elvis would be proud and his and Lisa’s wishes are what are most important to all of us. My granddaughter, through her counsel, along with my team worked diligently and tirelessly to resolve all misunderstandings as a family.”

'We have all been through enough'

Priscilla stated that the settlement agreement should be sealed since it contained confidential information regarding her daughter’s trust that is to benefit my two minor granddaughters. "If this information were to become public, it could put me and my family’s safety at risk. This would subject me to significant danger, and emotional distress, and negatively affect my physical and mental health. It would also subject my son and minor granddaughters to harassment and bullying. We have all been through enough.”

The publication also reported previously that Lisa Marie was in huge debt at the time of her death. Lisa as per the court records cited by the outlet reported she owed between $3 and $4 million to several creditors. She did, however, purchase many life insurance policies that paid out $35 million to her trust following her death.
