Sarah Jessica Parker said she understood why people did botox, pointing out the 'emphasis put on women about looks'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sarah Jessica Parker spoke about plastic surgery and ageism in Hollywood while promoting the second season of the 'Sex And The City' reboot series 'And Just Like That'. The Golden Globe Award winner appeared on 'The Howard Stern Show' on Wednesday, June 28, and shared her journey on how she got to act alongside Steve Martin in the satirical romantic comedy film 'LA Story'.

During the conversation, Stern, 69, asked the 58-year-old if she believes she's a "good-looking human being" when she looks herself in the mirror. "I mean, I'm presentable", she replied. "I don’t really like looking at myself. I think I'm fine."

'Is it too late?'

"I think about all of it," Parker admitted after Stern asked her if she has ever considered doing "a facelift, botox, and all this other s**t." "I ask people all the time, is it too late?" she said. "People would be like, 'Well, you not only look rested, you look like an entirely different human being.'"

Parker on plastic surgery

Stern then directly asked her in a follow-up question if she had ever decided to take the risk and get plastic surgery. "No," Parker replied, before admitting that she does seek help from a dermatologist for various treatments such as skin peel, about which she gave a demonstration with her hands. "I'll do any of that stuff," she confessed and then made a revelation. "I honestly think I missed out on the facelift, the old-fashioned good one that you have when you’re 44," she said. However, Stern strongly disagreed.

"You think you should have done it?" Stern asked Parker. "I've seen some horror stories lately. I don't know. I'm glad you didn't do it," he added while show co-host Robin Quivers laughed in the background.

'So much emphasis put on women about looks'

Parker, who was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2022, said that she does not see anything wrong with people who choose to do things like Botox and other cosmetic procedures. "I do understand why people make the choice because there is so much emphasis put on primarily women about looks," she said.

She then recalled that when 'And Just like That' premiered two years ago, there "were so many endless articles about aging, and aging gracefully. and Sarah Jessica's hair is gray." "First of all it's not, but who cares," Parker said. "I’m sitting next to Andy Cohen, whose head is covered in gray hair, and you’ve not mentioned that at all. So I understand why women feel like there is so much chatter, peripheral opinions. I don't think it's wrong. I think people should do whatever they feel makes them walking out the door, frankly."

'She’s beautiful and is aging with grace'

Sarah's fans seemed in agreement with what she said. One fan wrote in the comment section of the video, "I always thought she was so beautiful. Love her aura, charisma and bubbly personality." Another said, "She looks so good and natural." One opined, "She’s beautiful and is aging with grace" while another noted, "She doesn't need it, you are doing well Sarah Jessica!" "I think she is so fun, stylish, talented, and beautiful," commented one fan. "Got to respect her for not doing plastics, and wow, she lookers better than her peers", wrote another.
