In August 2014, the Indiana native and two others she shared the property with, referred to in court documents as Jane and John Doe, were presented with an eviction notice. According to court documents, Brynn, a communications professional, continued "to be in possession of the premise without the permission of the Petitioner-Landlord after the expiration of said term."

According to court documents, the socialite was behind on her rent for the months of July, October, November, and December 2013. Per the court documents, Brynn was in arrears on the unpaid sum incurred in January and February 2014.

By October of that year, the landlord had petitioned the court for a "final judgment [to] be entered against" Brynn and her two co-tenants. They were also going to receive "a warrant of eviction to remove respondents from possession thereof, and that a judgment be issued for the rent arrears."
