'The Voice' coach John Legend persuaded Elizabeth Evans that he could help her concentrate on her abilities as a singer and stage performer

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Elizabeth Evans, a female rock singer, was a perfect fit for 'The Voice' because her gruff vocals didn't match her little stature.

While her fears were still audible in her singing, John Legend's pitch was that he could help her focus on her skills as a vocalist and performer on stage.

Elizabeth, who described herself as a "shy person," was relieved to begin her performance of 'All I Wanted' without the coaches' gaze on her. However, that didn't last long once John and Reba McEntire sat down.

Reba expressed astonishment at hearing such a powerful voice emerge from someone so small, and vowed to assist her in learning how to better engage with her audience when she performs.

There were some fascinating moments throughout this Nashville collegian's performance, but there were also enough pitching issues to create the idea that fans would be transformed into a baseball game. Memorable appearance — sort of "severe cotton candy" — less memorable performance.

Perhaps, as John speculated, she'd be more striking with a better-planned number.

John described Elizabeth's voice as "cool," and said it was the big note that drew him in, but he'll help her organize her vocals to make them work better. Elizabeth chose Team Legend out of the two options.

Elizabeth is a 21-year-old who went to Nashville to attend Belmont University's Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, according to her Spotify bio.

According to her profile, she writes songs in a variety of genres. Her style is alternative pop/rock. And, yes, that bio indicates that Elizabeth has released her own music—two songs in the last two years.

'This One's Gonna Hurt,' her catchy first single, was released in July 2022.

'My Skeleton,' her second single, was released in May. It's a song she co-wrote with producer Gus Ciardiello about falling in love with someone who keeps secrets.

According to her TikTok, she's allegedly talking about a guy who's still hung up on his ex and is using a new girlfriend to attempt to forget her.

Even before her Voice audition aired, Elizabeth had approximately 10,000 followers and over 250,000 likes on the platform.

The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 9 pm ET.
