LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tiffany Haddish's legal troubles may escalate following her second DUI arrest. The accomplished comedian's recent run-in with the law is expected to have implications on the existing bond agreement with Georgia state prosecutors.

This one is related to her previous DUI in The Peach State from almost two years earlier.

Haddish bond agreement likely to be amended

According to a report from People, Georgia officials have submitted a motion to amend Haddish's bond agreement.

This indicates their desire to restrict her from using drugs or alcohol and to impose a requirement for the 43-year-old comedian to undergo weekly drug and alcohol testing.

It was in January 2022, when Haddish was found asleep behind the wheel of her car on Highway 74 after a 911 call was made around 2.30 am local time. The star was taken into custody by Fayette County, where she later paid her bond, reports PageSix.

Haddish's friends are worried!

In a conversation with 'Entertainment Tonight,' Tiffany Haddish expressed, "This will never happen again. I'm committed to seeking assistance to understand and establish balance and boundaries in my life."

She reiterated her intention to seek help for achieving a healthier balance and setting appropriate boundaries.

“As soon as I heard it, I said ‘goddamn, I’m glad she’s okay,'” a close friend of Haddish told The New York Post.

“But it seems weird to me. You would think that someone would have a driver in that situation. This is tough because there’s nothing anybody’s gonna say to take away that this is her second offense,” the well-wisher added.

“The way people look at drinking and driving. Hopefully there’s a lesson to be learned. If people want to be critical, I say f–k that — you don’t know what a person is going through. You don’t know what’s troubling a person.”

“Not gonna lie… I’ve been partying all night. I’ve been partying all morning… I can still feel the Ciroc (vodka) in my system,” she said a day after her first DUI arrest.

Brian Balthazar, a seasoned entertainment journalist and TV producer, commented on Haddish's recent arrest, stating, "We live in a world that simultaneously embraces cancel culture but also loves a redemption story," as he shared with The Post.

"So where does Tiffany fall in that spectrum? There's the justice system, and there is the court of public opinion, and they can yield wildly different results," Balthazar remarked on the varying perspectives surrounding Tiffany Haddish's situation.

The icon added, "You don't have to look far to see there is actually a pretty sizable list of celebrities who have been charged with one or more DUIs in the past."
