Carson Daly addressed the audience at Project Healthy Minds, emphasizing the organization's mission to raise awareness about the persistent mental health crisis.

He candidly opened up about his struggles with mental health over the years and the time when he had panic attacks. Daly also admitted to “anxiety as his superpower” while sharing his major career change.

The second annual festival was hosted in New York City's Hudson Yards and featured a lineup of notable speakers including Zak Williams, David Axelrod, Kalen Irsay Jackson, Poppy Harlow, Karen Palvin, and Sally Yates on the main stage.

The festival offered a diverse program, encompassing speeches, guided meditation sessions, SoulCycle activities, and a gala, all contributing to the vital conversation about mental health.

Daly’s recent career transition followed his absence from the ‘Today’ studio on a Tuesday episode.

During his absence, he briefly appeared via an off-site camera to provide coverage of the festival. This wasn't the first time the host had been missing from NBC's show in recent times, with several episodes where he was not present.

On one occasion, Dylan Dreyer filled in for Daly to cover his PopStart segment on a Monday episode.
