LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘GMA3’ is a value addition to the stories that ‘Good Morning America’ brings before its viewers. The spinoff of the morning show, hosted by DeMarco Morgan, Eva Pilgrim, and Dr Jennifer Ashton takes the baton of fun-filled segments from its predecessor and gives its viewers another few stories to cherish for the rest of the day. One such brief story recently talked about was that of an aged comedian named Lewis Black.

Lewis appeared on ‘GMA3’ to talk about his YouTube comedy special, ‘Tragically I Need You’, and his upcoming comedy tour Off the Rails. After discussing briefly how he performs his stand-ups, the comedian was quizzed by ‘GMA3’ host Jennifer Ashton about his beautiful and well-manicured nails. The comedian played it off by stating, “It’s one of the things that god has given me.”

Who is Lewis Black?

Lewis Black is a 74-year-old stand-up comedian, author, playwright, and actor with a career of over 35 years in the entertainment industry. He’s a celebrated comic artist who chooses to indulge in the controversial arena of religion, politics, history, and other cultural trends through his jokes. After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree in 1977 from Yale School of Drama, Lewis started his journey as a playwright in theatre. However, his path eventually led him to comedy and he started his career in this space with Comedy Central back in 1988.

Lewis is a regular contributor to ‘The Daily Show’ and has appeared in various television shows in his career, with the most popular one being ‘Law & Order’. It’s not just television that Lewis made his mark in as the comedian has also dabbled in films, working with Tim Robbins in the cult film, ‘Jacob’s Ladder’. Despite his diverse career in films and television, Lewis continued his stint in comedy and was ranked 51st among the top 100 stand-up comedians by Comedy Central in 2004.

‘Do you have any tips or secrets for beautiful nails?’

‘GMA3’ host DeMarco Morgan started off the segment by asking Lewis, “How do you keep coming up with new material?” The comedian replied, “I don’t. They do,” as he went on to explain that he keeps a lookout for assured and bizarre news in the newspapers and on television but after explaining his trick and the reason behind his long hiatus from comedy, Lewis was pleasantly startled by host Jennifer Ashton’s question. Jennifer inquired politely, “How do you have such beautiful nails? You have these cuticles.” Everyone including Lewis burst into laughter as Jennifer further added, “Do you have any tips or secrets?” Lewis took a moment to compose himself and answered, “It’s all-natural. God Given.” He further joked that God did play a trick on him. “I’m going to screw you in every way imaginable but I’m going to give you cuticles.”
