UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Ms. Monét is one of the artists that has been chosen for Season 24 of 'The Voice'. Despite hitting the high notes just enough to have two coaches turn, Niall Horan felt compelled to explain to the seasoned artist why he wasn't one of them.

Ms. Monét sang "Higher Love" by Stevie Winwood for her Blind Audition on the October 3 episode. She has a strong alto voice. She reminds the viewers of Wendy Moten from a few seasons ago, another elderly singer attempting to break into the mainstream.

Gwen Stefani was the first to turn her chair for Ms. Monét, and she was immediately followed by Reba McEntire.

"The only reason I didn't turn is that I didn't feel like I could be of help," Niall Horan said.

John Legend added, "I been feeling like that all day about you, Niall."

Gwen believes she can assist her in developing her theatrical presence.
