'The Simpsons' character Lisa hires her brother Bart to investigate the murder but there is a twist in the tale

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Simpson' Halloween special episode turned bloody with a shocking murder. Lisa Simpson killed Channel 4's iconic character Sideshow Bob, who was voiced by 'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer.

The latest episode featured the Simpsons characters in a special Halloween-themed episode, with a series of strange and spooky drama. The Halloween special took place in an alternate universe where Bob was killed, and Lisa became a "true crime" specialist.

Bob has tried to kill Bart Simpson for years but failed. However, Bart's sister Lisa finally puts an end to Bob's devious ways and kills him instead. During the episode, Robert Terwilliger, aka Bob, had managed to successfully get hold of Bart, which resulted in him being caught and thrown in jail.

In the alternate universe, Lisa, as a true crime expert, is involved in the crime business. She hired Bob to help her solve crime cases by getting into the mind of a murderer.

Later in the episode, it is revealed that Lisa has a split personality, which leads to her more evil side killing Bob. Notably, it was not the first time that Bob has 'died' on the show.

In 'The Simpsons' season 19 episode Funeral for a Friend, Bob faked his own demise.

Sideshow Bob attempts to murder Bart Simpson's aunt

Sideshow Bob was first introduced at the very beginning of the series. Since then he has had numerous attempts to kill Bart Simpson foiled over the years.

However, 'The Simpsons' most notorious recurring villain, Bob had also once rigged mayoral elections. He also attempted to murder Bart's aunt Selma.

But in the latest episode, Bob, who was voiced by Robert Terwilliger, has been killed off himself, with the latest 'Treehouse of Horror' episode depicting his grisly end.

'The Simpsons' celebrate Halloween with 'Treehouse of Horror' special

'The Simpsons' recently celebrated the spooky season with a special episode 'Treehouse of Horror'. The Halloween theme was first kicked off from the second season in 1990. The special is always a stand-alone, not connected to the main show's story arcs, and has around three mini-episodes.

The iconic 'Treehouse of Horror' episodes have become fan favourites through the years. The Halloween episodes were inspired by well-known horror and thriller films including, 'The Shining', 'House of Wax' and 'The Twilight Zone'.

However, multiple viewers suggested that the Halloween episodes don't resonate with the actual episodes and expected that Sideshow Bob would likely be back in Springfields to chase and terrorise the residents, especially the Simpsons.

'The Simpsons' airs every weekday at 6 pm on Channel 4. The new episodes are also available to stream on Disney+.
