WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: Paige Spiranac, one of the most popular figures in the golf industry, has taken the game into unexplored territory. Indeed, through her social media posts and videos, which have received enormous circulation, many of her fans have had a glimpse of what golf is like. The yearly American Century Championship in Tahoe fits well into that picture.

With golf star Annika Sorenstam amongst its roster of prominent individuals, Spiranac would be a good choice to increase interest in the event. The golf beauty, though, won't be there this year for an odd reason.

'Bummed to miss it!'

With more than three million people following her on the well-known social media platform Instagram, Spiranac has established herself as the sport's hottest-selling brand. Despite having retired from the sport in 2016, she has an enormous number of sponsorship agreements under her belt. She apparently didn't get a spot at the celebrity golf tournament despite this. Spiranac was anticipating the occasion this year, but no invitation showed up at her door.

Here’s what Spiranac said through her Instagram stories, “Everyone keeps asking if I’ll be in Tahoe for the celeb tournament this year but unfortunately I didn’t get invited back. Was told I didn’t give them enough exposure on social media,” she revealed. “I guess 4 million impressions wasnt good enough lol. Anyways bummed to miss it!” Nevertheless, the 30-year-old wished everyone who was taking part in the tournament well. She wrote with a heart emoji, "Hope you guys have the finest time out there."
