xQc said Nick should have been upfront about the gambling clause being his own choice, rather than attributing it to the contract

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During a recent livestream, xQc addressed Nicholas aka Nickmercs Nick's recent statements regarding his contract with Kick. On October 30, 2023, Nickmercs announced his intention to incorporate gambling into his broadcasts as per his contract. He also mentioned plans to travel to a location where he could engage in Stake gambling, something he stated he couldn't do in America.

xQc expressed his disagreement with Nickmercs' statements, asserting that it was the FaZe Clan co-owner who explicitly included a gambling clause in his Kick contract, and likely sought a deal with Stake.

xQc calls Nickmercs 'disingenuous'

During a recent livestream, xQc addressed Nick's recent statements about gambling and his Stake deal. He emphasized that if Nick has a clause in his contract related to gambling, he was the one who included it.

Further, xQc also pointed out that an employee confirmed on Twitter that the contract for gambling is separate, indicating that Nick signed exclusively with Kick and sought out a separate deal with Stake. xQc expressed his view that Nick should have been upfront about the gambling clause being his own choice, rather than attributing it to the contract.

xQc went on to describe Nickmercs as 'disingenuous' and urged him to rectify the situation, stating, "That's just disingenuous. Okay? Nick is bugging. Nick has got to fix this s**t up. Okay? I don't know what's wrong with Nick. Nick is losing it. Please! Don't talk like that."

Also, xQc acknowledged that there were moments when he or Trainwreckstv could have chosen to speak similarly, but they consciously refrained from doing so, deeming it unwise. xQc underscored the importance of taking responsibility for one's decisions.

Responding to a comment on his official subreddit, xQc noted that he would not defend Nickmercs' gambling on the Kick livestream to the extent of staking his reputation on it.

xQc claimed, "Well, dude, of course, I will! It's the truth. Defend the truth at all costs. I've always said this. What's wrong with you? Guys, this is the truth, though! Like, isn't it kind of insane, though, like... how people throw mud and make false misinformation? And, they're like, 'Guys, watch them debunk it. Chat, they're so dumb! Yo, watch him trying to debunk this s**t, dude! When he's right about it! Yo, watch him do it!'"

In conclusion, xQc added, "Dude, of course. Like, what is wrong with you? That's like somebody telling you - 'Oh, dude, you're a thief and you're a scammer."

Internet reacts to xQc's take on Nickmercs

Soon, xQc's take on Nickmercs went viral across Reddit when a user shared a post, "xQc calls NECKMERCS a "fake" about the gamba deal."

One fan said, "Exactly xqc (agree with gambling or not) has always made it known he has a deal at least, nick shouldn't be wording things in a way it makea it seem kick forced gamba in the deal he took it to maximize the potential earnings."

Another fan wrote, "What didn't XQC claim his deal with kick had no gambling clause?" A third said, "People have gotta be smarter and just realize this without it needing to be said tbh."

xQc confesses he is paid for gambling content

In a recent livestream, xQc made a candid admission about receiving compensation from Stake for live gambling on his streams.

Interestingly, just days after joining Kick, xQc had been defensive when confronted with suggestions that he had primarily joined for gambling, especially considering Twitch's policy against it.

During his latest stream, xQc addressed a chat message that questioned his transparency about gambling, to which he responded, "What? Bro! I've never lied once about it." He then openly acknowledged hosting sponsored gambling streams.

xQc has now confirmed that he does indeed receive payment for streaming gambling content on Kick. He stated, "Everybody knows I am (getting money from Stake.com)."

It's worth noting, however, that he initially denied this being the case when he first signed the contract with Kick.

For instance, when Hasan "HasanAbi" accused xQc of joining primarily for financial gain and potentially starting gambling, xQc responded, "If it was about money, nobody would care."

"If it was only about money then I wouldn't be talking about this. I would just turn the stream off and I would ignore all this sh*t," he added.

While Hasan remained concerned about Kick's Stake funding, xQc maintained that Kick is a live-streaming product, not a gambling platform.
