CLEVELAND, OHIO: On the most recent edition of 'RAW', Logan Paul made his much-anticipated television return and shocked the WWE Universe with a bold declaration. He declared his intention to take part in the next 'Money in the Bank' ladder match in 2023.

On July 1 in London, England, Paul will compete alongside LA Knight, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Butch, Santos Escobar, and Damian Priest. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has revealed which performer he believes ought to scale the ladder and get the briefcase.

'I wouldn't be embarrassed'

Meltzer said, “I think Logan Paul should win the match. I don't know that he'll win, but I think he should. I think it would be a lot of publicity if he won. And the other thing about that is that I think the briefcase gets so annoying when it's there week after week. But if it's there every now and then, I think it's pretty cool ... They could have Logan Paul do it and even beat Seth [Rollins] at some point [for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship] and [then] come in and lose it or whatever.”

He added, “I wouldn't be embarrassed. It's one thing, [but] it's not like it's David Arquette, where it was a total embarrassment putting the [WCW] title on him. This guy's great. He can talk, he looks good, he can work, he's great, and he's a big celebrity. He's a bigger celebrity than anyone they've got in the entire company. So, why not?”

MITB ladder match

The ladder match winner will have a year to cash in their briefcase, giving them the right to contend for the championship at any time and in any place. It's possible that Bronson Reed may intervene in the bout because Reed has recently been targeting Ricochet and Nakamura.

Damian Priest has been in the middle of a number of disputes over 'Judgement Day', including Finn Balor's involvement in his contest with Seth Rollins for the world heavyweight title. Logan Paul asserted that he did not have to "earn" his position but rather that WWE had given him the opportunity.
