Kenya Moore believes that rebooting 'RHOA' is not the answer to boosting ratings

DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Kenya Moore appeared on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' since its fifth season in 2012.

She spoke with Carlos King, executive producer of four seasons of the hit Bravo show 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' in a candid conversation about the need to recast the show.

In the first part of her interview with King, Kenya Moore explained that women used to have to audition to get a spot on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta.'

In recent seasons, the casting process has changed and women are now cast without a real audition. Moore urges the production to return to the original casting process

"They didn't shoot with us before. I think it worked best when people auditioned for a while and they earned the peach the same way I did and the same way Porsha did. You gotta do some serious casting changes. I don't think the answer is a reboot. Be careful what you ask for," says Moore.

This week, Kenya Moore revealed more details in her sit-down interview with Carlos King on his podcast 'Reality with The King.'

Kenya Moore says reboot will not salvage 'RHOA'

Kenya Moore believes that rebooting the series is not the answer to boosting ratings or viewer interest, "I don't think the answer is a reboot. Be careful what you ask for."

Kenya Moore knows there are always rumors about a reboot of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta.' However, she doesn't think it will help but rather suggests a serious revamp of the show.

Are viewers losing interest in 'RHOA' as the show reaches S15?

'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 15 has begun, but things could take a sour turn as the series loses viewers at a rapid pace.

Viewers who tuned in to Season 15 have called it boring and lackluster. But it's been going downhill for quite some time, and the opinions on Reddit reflect the low viewership. The things that initially drew viewers to the series are no longer there.

Many viewers feel that the season is too scripted and that the actors are no longer believable. Many claim that the last episodes are boring, with unexciting storylines, invented problems and missed opportunities for real developments in the lives of housewives.

One viewer said, "I used to be a big big fan and watched every episode of most franchises. I watched and rewatched, especially RHOA and RHONJ. Sadly I can’t really be bothered anymore. I don’t even keep up with new episodes of my top favorites. It all feels to produced and too scripted."

One user pointed out, "For me, the shows just aren’t that good anymore. Fake & boring drama; overly produced; too many alliances between the women; a lot less fun generally; fewer quirky housewives; not enough genuine relationships; too superficial...yeah."

A viewer said, "Seems like the days of really good reality tv are behind us. The cast members turned into unsolicited producers and it doesn't feel authentic anymore. Everyone wants to take someone down."

'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' is suffering significant, double-digit viewership losses. Season 15 has averaged 748,500 viewers per episode. Comparing that to the last season's average, 950,000, and to Seasons 12 and 13 with an average viewership of 1.8 million and 1.25 million respectively.

Previous seasons also had a much stronger hold on the target demographic, ranging from 30-60 per cent as per Yahoo Entertainment.

Bravo really should heed the advice of the fans, especially after the ratings drop in Season 15.
