Jack Harlow's recent NFL Thanksgiving halftime performance is getting roasted on social media. The Tyler Hero rapper was on stage at Ford Field during halftime of the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers game where he performed a mini-set. He began by rapping his hit What's Poppin after appearing from a makeshift igloo with a background performer acting as a hype man in the usual production. The 25-year-old then went on to perform other songs such as 'Industry Baby', 'First Class' and 'Lovin On Me' to a crowd that didn't exactly sound too enthusiastic over the show. Viewers on social media didn't hold back with their thoughts on Harlow's set, with people ripping into the set design and the lack of cheering in the audience. Others shared their confusion at the random man who appeared to hype up Harlow in the background for just a brief moment in the performance. Taking to Instagram Stories post-performance, Harlow revealed why he decided to take the opportunity to perform at the Thanksgiving halftime show. "On some real s*** the main thing that pushed me to say yes to this Thanksgiving halftime show aside from the opportunity itself is how much family I have in Detroit and all the times I've spent growing up visiting the city," he wrote. "I kid you not my great-great grandfather had a heart attack and passed away in the stands at the Lions Thanksgiving game in the 1960s and I'm not even bulls****** so u know I had to bring it home for bro." Meanwhile, country legend Dolly Parton was the other performer at the NFL Thanksgiving halftime show and took to the stage at Dallas' AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys played the Washington Commanders and her set was widely praised. One viewer said: "Dolly Parton is a goddamn national treasure." "Dolly Parton just won Thanksgiving," another person wrote, while someone else said: "Dolly Parton doing the halftime show in a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders costume looking like a queen. SLAYYY In Dolly we trust." Elsewhere, Harlow isn't the only artist whose set wasn't well received as last year Bebe Rexha performed but a lot of people in the crowd couldn't watch her set because the stage was tucked away in one corner of the stadium and as a result, fans started booing, Entertainment Weekly reported at the time. It has been revealed that Cliff Richard does have a photograph with Elvis Presley after all, following the singer’s bizarre fat-shaming comments about the legendary performer. Controversy arose earlier this week when Richard appeared on ITV’s This Morning and revealed he had declined the opportunity to meet and have a picture taken with the music icon Elvis because he had “put on a lot of weight”. It turned out that moment was the last opportunity Richard would get to have a photo with Elvis, as the singer died shortly afterwards in 1977. But, despite turning down the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the King of Rock and Roll because of his weight gain, it appears it didn’t stop Richard from getting a painting of the two of them together commissioned. A picture with apparent proof was hilariously shared by comedian and broadcaster Jon Holmes on X/Twitter, who claimed in the caption: “See, #cliffrichard actually *does* have a painting of him with (thin) #Elvis in his house. “A painting that he commissioned despite them never having met. I know this because we recorded a programme there some years back.” In the painting, which looks to be hanging above a piano, the two singers can be seen on stage performing together, with Richard singing into his microphone while a trim-looking Elvis stands alongside him. Holmes added: “Note how Cliff is taking the vocals, while Elvis stands watching in awe.” The revelation caused quite a stir as people poked fun at Richard’s apparent fatphobia. Someone commented: “The plot thicccckens, obsessed with (thin) Elvis. What’s wrong with this guy?” Another mocked: “The plot thickens! Hilton, 42, shared the news by posting a pink baby outfit with the name “London” on it. “Thankful for my baby girl,” Hilton wrote in the caption. Fans had at first been confused if the baby had already been born, or if she was just on the way, but Hilton clarified in a TikTok comment that her daughter has already “arrived”. The show stars a young Brenda Song as a hotel owner’s heir, London Tipton. The show takes place at the Tipton, which London’s father owns. The internet was awash with people pointing out that Paris Hilton had, in fact, named her second child after a fictional character that was based on her. London is Paris’ and her husband Carter Reum’s second child. The couple married in 2021 and secretly welcomed their first son Phoenix earlier this year. As for her baby girl’s unique name, Paris told Ellen DeGeneres in 2022 why she would be naming her daughter London. "The girl is gonna be named London Marilyn Hilton Reum," she said. "Marilyn after my grandmother and London because it's my favourite city and I think Paris and London sound cute together."
