NEWPORT, CALIFORNIA: 'Flip or Flop' star Tarek Moussa was recently slammed for distorting figures and misrepresenting real-estate transactions after he posted details of a house-flipping deal on his Instagram.

The HGTV star wrote, "Did you know you can buy a house for $90,000, spend $13,000 to fix it up, then get ALL your money back plus a check for $35,000.00? 👀"

He added, "If you didn’t….watch this video! The reason people don’t make more money is because they don’t know how to and they don’t teach you how in school because they don’t know how to either...but I do!! Let me teach you!"

The internet flocked to his post and gave him a piece of its mind.

One user wrote, "Where t* are you gonna do those renovations for 13K don’t believe everything you see just the material alone for that kitchen and bath was 13K."

Another user commented, "Okay Terek… stop bullshitting the world saying you did this entire Reno for $13K anyone with 2 brain cells knows thats extremely unrealistic."

What is 'Flip or Flop' star Tarek El Moussa's $50M project NoHo138?

NoHO138 is one of El Moussa's biggest undertakings to date. The sprawling project, located in Los Angeles's North Hollywood region, is being projected to be a luxury apartment complex that shall consist of 138 units and shall boast several amenities like a rooftop deck and a gym.

Construction is set to roll in 2024 with the completion date set at 2025. Both El Moussa's and his wife Heather's investment companies are involved.

Tarek El Moussa accused of trying to evict tenants from 100-year-old building

In a bid to get the ground cleared for his multimillion-dollar project NoHo138, El Moussa has been accused of threatening the tenants of a rundown 100-year-old rent-controlled building at Hartsook Street, Los Angeles.

Tenants in the area have reported that they are being served with Ellis Act eviction notices, informing them of the need to vacate their homes and leave the area for the real-estate tycoon. Some of the tenants have hinted that they would not leave without a fight.

'The Flipping El Moussas' renewed for Season 2

The popular real-estate show has been renewed for a second season on HGTV and is expected to premiere in early 2024.
